    Seasonal Dresses DesignerWe are Sosandar.

    Based in Wilmslow, Cheshire, we're one of the UK's fastest growing online fashion brands for chic and stylish women; worn by celebs and influencers galore.

    We have an amazing opportunity for someone equally as amazing to join our growing team as a Designer.
    You will be responsible for designing both jersey and woven seasonal dresses for Sosandar.

    As we split down our product range by Seasonal and Daywear we are looking for a designer who can focus on our occasionwear as well as our Summer holiday dress range.

    The right candidate will be able to build a great relationship with their buyer and merchandiser and work together to analysis sales data in line with upcoming trends to develop frameworks for the coming season and trade best sellers within the season.

    You will be passionate about working closely with your team to develop a strong understanding of the Sosandar brand in order to design customer focused, on trend premium product, drive newness and continuously look for ways to improve our productThis is what you'll do:

    As designer, you will lead on one of our large product areas or department independently alongside the Buying and Merchandising team.


    As Designer your responsibilities will include:

    Fully understanding the analysis around how your area has and is currently performing, gaining full knowledge of its history to include best sellers, returns data and current trade and be fully up to date with the strategy for the department.

    Leading on research development for newness on the area that reflects the messages coming through trade and lessons learnt.

    Building up a strong knowledge of the Sosandar customer so that you are able to confidently source newness/design inspiration that is in line with our brand identity and a natural progression from where we have already seen success.

    Planning/developing newness independently from a range plan/shopping list.

    Working closely with the Buyer on this product area to support them in trading the department by reacting to sales on a weekly basis and offering newness to further build on its success.

    Confidently presenting ideas in planning meeting by talking through each design and reasons why this has been included in the range and sell each style to the Leadership team.

    Building up a strong knowledge of the print history at Sosandar as well as current trade on prints so that, working with the print Designer, you can select and develop prints for relevant styles within your area that are balanced and commercial and reactive.

    Playing an active part in fit/buy sessions by briefing the team on and issues with new samples being fit and any amendments that you feel need to be actioned.

    Supporting Design Assistants and Junior Designers when required so they are able to perform in line with the requirements of their job role.

    We're looking for someone who...Has experience and success working at Designer level for other womenswear fashion brands.
    Ideally has experience working with both jersey and woven fabrics across both occasionwear and non-occasion product.

    Has a great eye for print and colourHas experience in working closely with a product team to build a cohesive range that forms part of a multi-product collection.
