Description

We are looking for an experienced
Head of Finance to join an exciting, ethical, and values-driven organisation based in
Sheffield, they are a leading distributor and retailer of high-quality health supplements.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will be primarily responsible for the day-to-day finance functioning of the business.

Responsibilities

Overall management of ledger functions (2x purchase ledger/sales ledger and Finance Assistant)
Maintain and support relationships with key partners (bank, accountants, suppliers)
Review and analyse product pricing; maintain standard costing to commercial/standard accounting
Preparation of monthly management accounts and regular cash flow forecasts
Contribute to management meetings

Statutory compliance

VAT returns; PAYE / VAT reconciliations
Prepare and maintain daily cash flow including the planning for FX purchases, use of forward purchased currencies
Preparation of files for annual accounts
Technical support to the business including analysis of data for decision making

Requirements:

Leadership qualities and experience of leading a finance team
Qualified / Part qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA)
High proficiency in Excel
Expert Knowledge of Sage 50 Cloud; importing data into and exporting from; advanced data handling skills
Experience with building reports analysing and interpreting data
Understanding/experience of ecommerce systems reports and reconciliations
Skilled at implementing process improvements and efficiencies
Meticulous attention to detail
A thirst for learning and improvement
