    Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a Social Worker / Senior Social Worker Adoption, to work full time based in Barnsley
    The salary for this permanent Social Worker / Senior Social Worker job is up to £44,539
    Support senior colleagues with the prioritisation, allocation, planning and review of work in
    accordance with policies, procedures and statutory requirements, contributing to effective budget management, ensuring value for public money and the maximisation of service efficiencies
    Contribute to service monitoring and evaluation, undertaking needs analysis, reviewing availability of resources and development of service practice, policies and strategies to maintain high quality services
    Provide supervision, direction and co-ordination of workloads, support and guidance, appraisal and professional development and support social work students on first and final placements; Undertake clear and detailed service user, carer assessments and interventions in accordance with relevant statutory requirements, minimising risks, with consideration for service user needs and available options
    Manage high complex cases including their planning and review, promoting independence and early intervention as well as the personalisation agenda and self-directed support to minimise risks and improve quality of life for service users and their carers, ensuring targets are met within agreed timescales
    Work with individuals, families, carers and communities to help them make informed decisions, enabling them to clarify their needs, construct value for money care packages and commission a range of appropriate services, as well as respond to their feedback regarding service provision
    Make proactive use of supervision to extend effective practice, reflection and career development and to meet the objectives of Professional Development Reviews
    Assist in ensuring that statutory responsibilities are met and fulfilled by the team, ensuring that quality practice standards are achieved in delivery high quality, promoting use of evidence and theory to support practice in complex and changing circumstances
    Undertake preventative work and risk assessments utilising community resources and services such as reablement and Telehealthcare
    Manage complex transitions cases and chair multi-disciplinary team meetings as appropriate to specialised field / local structures
    Contribute to the evaluation and analysis of recording and the use of information systems to inform good practice and maintain a focus on positive outcomes for service users and their families
    Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practice, policy and procedure in relation to vulnerable people as well as keeping abreast of wider service developments to enhance the service accordingly to satisfy internal and external demands
    Knowledge of UK legislation relevant to children and families
    Experience of working with children, young people, and their families
