- Develop and implement distribution strategies to optimize efficiency and customer delivery performance and minimize costs.
- Coordinate and oversee transportation and logistics activities to ensure timely delivery of goods to customers.
- Monitor and analyse distribution performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Establish and maintain relationships with third-party logistics providers and carriers to ensure reliable and cost-effective transportation services.
- Drive service and cost 'final mile' delivery performance excellence through expert contract management of all 3PL couriers servicing UK, Ireland, and Mainland regions.
- Recruit, train, and supervise warehouse staff, including supervisors, pickers, packers, and forklift operators.
- Lead and inspire operational teams, providing guidance and support to ensure high levels of performance and productivity and drive people engagement in line with Acushnet values.
- Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Develop impactful internal/external relationships with key stakeholders in the business.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storage, and shipping of goods.
- Develop and implement warehouse processes and procedures to maximize space utilization, inventory accuracy, and productivity.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe and secure working environment.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings initiatives within the distribution and warehouse operations.
- Lead and participate in cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and best practices.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to distribution and warehouse management.
- Control and manage budgets and CAPEX
- Strong knowledge of distribution and logistics principles, practices, and regulations.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to lead and successfully execute change management projects that transform operational capability and customer experience
