Position Overview
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Histology Scientist to join us.

You will take responsibility of carrying out histopathology techniques and digital slide scanning in order to carry out biomarker analysis on clinical trial tumour tissues.

Weare offering this role on a full time, permanent basis.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Carrying out histopathology techniques such as immunohistochemistry (IHC), in situ hybridisation (ISH) and digital slide scanning in order to carry out biomarker analysis on clinical trial tumour tissues
  • Supporting biomarker identification and analysis for multiple drug projects from very early stage through to clinical trials
  • Running assays on automated staining platforms
  • Ensuring Good Clinical Practice guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures are followed whilst carrying out lab work. Maintaining our compliance to the Human Tissue Authority is essential

Experience Required

  • Master's plus at least 1 year experience in industry or equivalent experience in a relevant field
  • Experience with manual and/or automated immunohistochemistry (IHC), immunofluorescence (IF) or in situ hybridisation (ISH) assays.
  • Experienced in microscopy and/or digital slide scanning, particularly examination of human pathology samples
  • Experience working with human tissue samples and tissuebased histopathology methods
