Location/Division Specific Information
This position fits under Evidera. Evidera is now part of Thermo Fisher Scientific and is referred to as the Clinical Research Group (CRG).

Over the coming year, we will be aligning our branding and messaging to be a part of Thermo Fisher Scientific.

Evidera's Patient-Centered Research (PCR) group combines a unique portfolio of scientific fields, including health sciences, psychometrics, epidemiology, psychology, and other.

Our work has helped identify and clarify unmet clinical needs, assess burden of illness and evaluate patient outcomes, preference and/or adherence, while supporting promotional and labeling claims on a global scale.


Discover Impactful Work
The Research Associate I provide scientific support for discrete tasks. May independently manage some project-related tasks.


A day in the Life:


  • Assists with preparing proposals, protocols, and reports by conducting internet and literature searches. Conducts literature reviews by abstracting data from scientific articles
  • Conducts and may coordinate site activities, including: recruitment, contracting and IRB submissions, site management and training.
  • Conducts and assists with data collection and data management, including conducting oneonone cognitive interviews, comoderating focus groups; compiles data collection tools, performing data entry and review.
  • Provides help with data analysis, including preparing qualitative code book, performing and coordinating coding, and reviewing quantitative data tables
  • Perform efficient delegation and communication within/outside of project team, and communicate regularly with senior project team members (i.e. principal investigator) about project tasks.
  • Assist with financial management of project.
  • No proposal writing requirement of this position, although individuals may choose to work on sections of selected proposals.

Keys to Success:


Education and Experience:


  • Master's Degree in scientific field and at least one year or Bachelor's Degree in scientific field and at least two years of experience in healthcare research;
  • MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel for entry
- ; Access data entry; InFormU; EndNote; PubMed/embase; DataFax to be used in position


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:


  • Basic understanding of research methods and practical knowledge of research implementation.
  • Collaborative team member, capable of efficient multitasking
  • Strong problemsolving skills, Demonstrates attention to detail
  • Ability to work well within a team environment

Physical Requirements / Work Environment:


  • Normal and routine office duties.
  • May require domestic and international travel.
