Full Time, Part Time, Part Time/Job Share, Flexible WorkingOur Administrative Assistants (AA) play a critical role, providing excellent administrative support to Court users, Judiciary and Management.
HM Courts & Tribunals Service (HMCTS) is responsible for the administration of Criminal, Civil and Family Courts and Tribunals in England and Wales.
At the Special Educational Needs Tribunals (SEND), we have multiple admin teams involved in processing appeals made against Local Authority decisions for children and young persons between the ages of 0 – 25.
Your role will be to help prepare documents for these appeals in readiness for a Tribunal Hearing.Typical roles include general electronic filing (moving emails into folders for different workstreams), photocopying, collecting and delivering files, post handling, monitoring office supplies and preparing documents / court bundles.
There may also be some basic data entry work. IT proficient with the ability to learn and adapt to different technologies and software packages.Non-contractual hybrid working may be available.
Hybrid working arrangements will be determined by the business and will only be available when it has been established that delivering the service from home can be done effectively.
We cannot facilitate requests for a particular work from home / working in the office schedule.Standard full time working hours are 37 hours per week.
HMCTS welcomes part-time, flexible and job-sharing working patterns, where they meet the demands of the role and business needs and are agreed prior to appointment.

The job holder must be able to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence in English or (when specified in Wales) Welsh.
Additional Information 1 Working Arrangements & Further InformationThe MoJ offers Hybrid Working arrangements where business need allows.
This is an informal, non-contractual form of flexible working that blends working from your base location, different MoJ sites and / or from home (please be aware that this role can only be worked in the UK and not overseas).
All employees will be expected to spend a minimum of 60% of their working time in an office, subject to local estate capacity.
Some roles will not be suitable for Hybrid Working. Similarly, Hybrid Working will not suit everyone's circumstances.For nationally advertised roles, the successful candidate(s) will be appointed to a MoJ office location, which may include their nearest Justice Collaboration Centre or Justice Satellite Office.
All candidates who are currently in receipt of Mark Time / Pay Protection should ensure they are familiar with the new policy on permanent and temporary promotion which can be found on the employee intranet.
Flexible working hoursThe Ministry of Justice offers a flexible working system in many offices. Standard full time working hours are 37 hours per week. MoJ welcomes part-time, flexible and job-sharing working patterns, where they meet the demands of the role and business needs.
