    Description

    The Site Reliability Manager is accountable for the maintenance, configuration and support of all web servers that will include CMS and ecommerce sites on behalf of Born clients.

    The role will primarily focus on the implementing and monitoring sites for performance, security, and uptime.

    Essential Functions

    • Measure and optimize system performance, with an eye toward pushing our capabilities forward, getting ahead of customer needs, and innovating to continually improve.
    • Maintains Web system performance by performing system monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting system, software, and operating and system management systems; designing and running system load/stress testing; escalating application problems to vendor.
    • Provide primary operational support and engineering for multiple large, distributed software applications.
    • Gather and analyse metrics from both operating systems and applications to assist in performance tuning and fault finding.
    • Partner with development teams to improve services through rigorous testing and release procedure.
    • Participate in system design consulting, platform management, and capacity planning.
    • Create and present reports to our clients and further recommendations.
    • Create sustainable systems and services through automation and uplift.
    • Handle code deployments in all environments
    • Follow all best practices and procedures as established by company

    Requirements

    • Experience in Linux environment
    • Knowledge of the development process including automated deployment (Jenkins, Bitbucket, Github, Terraform, etc.)
    • Knowledge of Magento/Hybris/Demandware would be preferred
    • Knowledge of ticketing systems
    • Knowledge of Newrelic, Dynatrace, Datadog, or equivalent
    • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JS, PHP, Java, MySQL
    • Experience maintaining web and application servers (Apache, NGINX, PHP, Redis, Tomcat, Varnish, etc.)
    • Enthusiastic and results driven
    • Punctual and organised
    • Good problem solver
