    Description

    Jonothan Bosworth Recruitment Specialists are working with London-based software house who provide dynamic software solutions to SMEs and large enterprises, helping them to improve their business outcomes.

    Our clients' software is a scalable platform used by large blue-chip organisations for improving their business performance and as Senior Developer, you will undertake a varied and interesting role in all aspects of application and systems development.

    ++ The ability to comprehensively code, and provide solid demonstrable knowledge of SQL (scripting) is vital for this role ++

    As Senior Software Engineer/Developer you will follow industry best practice agile methods for both product management, product development and software engineering.

    The development team(s) are agile , cross functional & flat in structure, where everyone is expected to work on all aspects of product and / or software development including testing, deployment and DevOps .

    We are looking for polyglot software engineer(s) who are comfortable using various technologies and are passionate about software quality.

    The ideal candidate will deliver software of appropriate quality, features, bug fixes, applications and systems which can be maintained using modern agile software engineering.

    If you can assist the product management function in the analysis and description of clear requirements and acceptance criteria, whilst following good software engineering practices both individually and in the team context we'd like to hear from you.

    Analysis, design and development of high-quality business applications and enhancements – reducing technical debt by appropriate refactoring of code and liaising with business users to ensure timely and accurate delivery of new and existing functionality will be important.

    You will have an active involvement in the handover of projects and functionality, and provide out of hours' support, on a rota basis, in the event of product systems problems.

    Developers who can participate in training and help with team development, including periodically giving short presentations on a software engineering or computer science topic are likely to receive an immediate interview request.

    If you have a solid understanding of OOP principles and practices, as well as of testing strategies for software quality, coupled with knowledge and application of SOLID principles and design patterns we'd like to hear from you.

    HTML and CSS and hands on experience of Microsoft .NET framework including MVC, an understanding of how to build scalable systems , a good understanding of software quality, of security and of performance optimisation as it relates to web and database systems will hold you in good stead.
