    Description
    Curriculum Leader of Maths
    Full Time
    This is a role working within our superb Maths Department.
    Lead on the delivery of the curriculum area, monitoring and evaluating the quality of teaching practice across the curriculum

    • Lead on the Performance Management of subject teachers, supporting their professional development
    • Keep all subject teachers informed of changes to curriculum and pedagogical developments at both local and national level
    • Be accountable for pupils' attainment, progress and outcomes
    • Have a secure knowledge of the relevant subject(s) and curriculum areas, foster and maintain pupils' interest in the subject, and address misunderstandings
    • If teaching early mathematics, demonstrate a clear understanding of appropriate teaching strategies
    • Qualified Teacher Status and degree in specialist subject
    • Support the Academy policies on safeguarding and child protection
    • A philosophy of 100% achievement and inclusion
    • A commitment to extending the boundaries of learning enabling all young people to become well-rounded individuals
    • Weekly training sessions and staff meetings to ensure effective communication
