    Description

    The Bulmershe School are looking to employ an inspirational, dynamic and well skilled Head of Modern Foreign Languages to join our friendly and expanding MFL department.

    They should be passionate about their subject and be able to teach either French or Spanish up to KS5.

    As the Head of our MFL Department, you will take responsibility for providing strong leadership and management in order to secure high quality teaching, effective use of resources and improved standards of learning and achievement for all.

    Teachers' expectations of our pupils are high and we encourage students to challenge themselves in lessons.

    We use a variety of innovative, dynamic, engaging and collaborative teaching and learning methods in the classroom, following the NCELP programme (training will be provided for those unfamiliar with this).

    Our teaching staff are supported by a dedicated and experienced team and as a department we have regular opportunities to share best practice and undertake development training.

    Teach EDEXCEL A-level French or Spanish
    Teach AQA French or Spanish GCSE
    Teach to the French and Spanish National Curriculum in years 7-9
    Pro-active lesson planning and marking
    Treat students with dignity, building relationships rooted in mutual respect, and at all times observing proper boundaries appropriate to a teacher's professional position
    Take responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the school
    Professional coaching and support to enhance teaching and learning
    The Bulmershe School is a heavily oversubscribed school which sits at the heart of the community. We are a mixed Corvus Learning Trust Academy school of 1,500 students,who come from diverse backgrounds and cultures.

    We work closely with our parents, partners and feeder school to achieve the best outcomes for all of our students.

    We were rated as 'Good' in our last OFSTED report and are aiming for Outstanding.
