- Lead a multi-disciplined engineering and quality team.
- Establish and prioritise activities in support of business objectives.
- Establish customer requirement and implement robust, efficient and safe processes.
- Ensure all operational SOP's are accurate and up to date in line with current customer requirements.
- Continually evolve best working practises and procedures to deliver ISO 9001 and 14001 excellence and certification.
- Define and manage annual audit schedule.
- Ensure all procedures maintain compliance with appropriate customer, legislative and company specifications.
- Support and guide direct reports with technical issues, ensuring all issues impacting ability to deliver customer demand are addressed expeditiously.
- Monitor and reduce COPQ ensuring all process defects are subject to robust RCCA analysis.
- Interface with customers understanding requirements, defining and delivering suitable/sustainable solutions.
- Assume the site technical lead for all New Product Introductions.
- Drive year on year efficiency improvements with multi departmental/discipline teams.
- Ensure continuity of function focusing on team development and succession planning for all functions.
- Contribute to key supplier reviews driving continual improvement in the process quality form extended supply chain.
- Document PFMEA of all site processes using identified risks to drive performance improvement.
- Degree qualified with 5+ years' experience leading a multi-disciplined engineering team.
- Experience leading internal schedule.
- Previous CI/Kaizen experience.
- Strong commercial appreciation preferred.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
- Excellent communication skills, at all levels. Internal and external.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Occasional travel to other locations at short notice is essential.

We support the entire product life cycle, from original design input, pre-sales testing, local customisation and configuration through to our field support activities that include technical assistance as well as product repair, replacement and refurbishment programs.
The Role
The Engineering and Quality Manager will be responsible for all aspects of Product Support Engineering and the Quality Management System in our Glenrothes branch. You will work with the existing engineering resource pool across both Production Support and Quality to ensure that safe, practical and efficient processes are implemented in line with key CTDI principles.
