    Three Rivers District in South WestHertfordshire straddles the north west corner of the M25 on theedge of Greater London. The area has a diverse rangeof businesses and is a centre for the film industry with WarnerBrothers at Leavesden forming part of a studio cluster, along withElstree and Pinewood a short drive away.

    We are now looking for a Housing Advisor to joinour team on a full-time basis for a 22 month fixed termcontract.

    TheRole

    As aHousing Advisor, you will provide a professional, high-qualityservice to members of the public seeking to engage with our HousingService.

    Acting as the firstpoint of contact for the Housing Options Team, you'll provideinitial housing advice and assessment regarding the procurement andallocation of temporary accommodation.

    Liaising with temporary housing customers,you'll respond to enquiries, engage with housing providers andmonitor temporary households to ensure charges and bills arepaid.

    Additionally, youwill:

    Assist withprocessing online Housing Register applications

    Support customers throughout the Choice Based Lettings (CBL)process

    Ensure the Council's Home Connectionssystem is kept up to date

    Make referrals torelevant charities and other statutory and supportagencies

    AboutYou

    To beconsidered as a Housing Advisor, you will need:

    Experience working with members of thepublic

    The ability to deal with customers inpotentially stressful and emotive circumstances

    A realistic understanding of the needs of customers needinghousing assistance

    A full, valid drivinglicence and access to your own vehicle

    A basic/enhanced DBS check will be carried outfor this post.
