    Position

    An opportunity has arisen for a Risk Management System Co-ordinator based at University Hospital Crosshouse.

    What you will do:

    This post will operate on a system wide basis and relationships will therefore be complex and span all aspects of the health and social care agendas. You will engage with a complex array of networks, groups and individual practitioners in the course of this work.

    You will ensure that an efficient and effective Risk Management System coordination service is provided by:

    • Planning, coordinating and implementing a program of ongoing improvement to the risk management software system, in partnership with the System Provider and eHealth colleagues.
    • Ensure the quality of the data received, and taking remedial action in consultation with clinical and support managers and staff to correct data.
    • Developing training sessions and delivering them, in relation to the System and its processes
    • Produce a variety of reports relating to adverse events and risk register in a timely manner for dissemination to groups, Directors and Managers.
    • Ongoing stakeholder management across the Board, ensuring that requested changes to the risk management system are planned and implemented timeously.
    • Administer the risk management system, including day to day administration of the system, liaison with the supplier on any issues, coding of the system
    • Dealing with queries relating to data or information, producing reports and offering professional support as required
    • Creates statistical reports for use in data analyses
    • To provide accurate, timely position information and reports on the progress of updates of the risk management system for the Risk Manager and other key organisational groups and committees.

    Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:

    You will have a qualification in System Management / Development, ideally in RL Datix and be able to evidence the use of applying risk management principles. Extensive knowledge and skills using MS Excel is key as is having confidence in using Microsoft Office software. You will develop and deliver training sessions to our staff in the use of Datix, therefore experience in training provision would be advantageous.

    Good communication and interpersonal skills are very important for this role as you will engage with a complex array of networks, groups and individual practitioners across health and social care.

    Being able to work on your own initiative is key, partnered with good team working skills. A flexible approach to working is essential and we do this by promoting the use of flexi-time within the team.
