    Description

    We are looking for an Assistant Buyer to perform a number of procurement/supply chain activities including day to day purchasing activities, production planning and the maximisation of existing ERP system to support and improve departmental effectiveness.

    The successful applicant will:

    • Take day-to-day responsibility for the purchasing activities for a range of components, for both Direct and Indirect materials. This will include placing orders, expediting orders, determining basic stock levels, dealing with queries both from the plant and from vendors.
    • Maintain MRP system with latest information, ensuring key data such as Lead Times, Delivery Dates and Costs are accurate to support reporting of key metrics.
    • Ensure correct component stock levels are maintained to support manufacturing requirements, by working closely with production planning to factor in production requirements and with vendors to understand effect of lead time changes.
    • Develop/maintain supplier relationships so that supplier understands ATL business needs.
    • Proactively communicate to Procurement team members any risks in relation to material availability.
    • Perform administrative duties associated with reporting KPIs, CAPAs, NCRs and other improvement type activities
    • Work in accordance with Company Quality Standards, procedures and processes and comply with the requirements of GDP and GMP.

    • is educated to degree level or has equivalent work experience
    • has the ability to communicate well in English, both written and verbally
    • has excellent team working skills
    • is able to develop and maintain cross-functional relationships across the organisation
    • is customer focused, able to take accountability and work with personal integrity.
    • has excellent computer skills, to include Microsoft Office suite and MRP systems.
    • has excellent attention to detail and a quality driven approach.
    • is self motivated and able to work with minimum supervision.
