    Description

    Are you a Solution Architect looking for a new opportunity? Do you have experience in software engineering and design preferably in programming such as .NET, Java, Spring framework, data engineering?

    Join us at Thredd as our new Solution Architect, you will be a pivotal member of the Technology Solution Architecture team, your will drive design and implementation of competitive and innovative market solutions for our clients.

    You will be an architect that can set your mind to any problem but have a keen interest and outstanding experience in APIs and microservices architecture, cloud architecture or data architecture.

    Experience you will hold:

  • Strong experience in microservices architecture.
  • Expertise in API design principles and RESTful API development.
  • Good experience in event driven architecture.
  • A background in programming such as .NET, Java, Spring framework, data engineering.
  • Strong experience in containerisation and orchestration technology like docker and Kubernetes.
  • Deep cloud platform experience around managed services, with preference to AWS
  • Excellent understanding API gateways.
  • Experience of architecture design methods such as C4, UML, BPMN
  • Good understanding of data architecture and principles around data management.

    • The role will involve:

  • Produced solution designs, collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product managers, software engineering, infrastructure, security and operations to understand business drivers and deep requirements to successfully deliver end to end designs into production.
  • Work closely with Product teams to determine feasibility of product initiatives early allowing good decision making around phasing, budgeting and ROI.
  • Contribute to creating blueprints for enterprise solution architecture patterns, for reuse and standardising solution approaches.
  • Create architecture principles around the use of technology, frameworks and patterns, e.g. for microservices, APIs, managed cloud services, data governance and other initiatives.
  • Lead the technical implementation of solutions designs, ensuring adherence to architectural standards and guidelines.
  • Provide technical guidance to development and cloud infrastructure teams to ensure successful delivery of global solutions.
  • Conduct reviews, performance analysis, troubleshoot and continuously improve quality of things that touch your designs.
  • Train and help colleagues understand architectural concepts and importance of standardised approach

    • For this role you will ideally have:

  • Strong interpersonal skills and leadership skills, with ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to communicate complex technical concepts and solutions to all audiences.
  • A keen interest for pragmatic software design delivery is of course a must.
  • Expertise in creating scalable, secure, low latency and highly available systems across a rapidly evolving cloud based digital landscape.
  • Experience in Payments and Banking industry highly desirable – Having good knowledge around concepts and working with regulated industries.
