Revenue Protection Officer – North Wales
Salary £30690, 37hrs
As a Revenue Protection Officer with British Gas, you will be required to prevent, detect, and investigate instances of theft of gas and electricity by Residential or Business customers and work with our customers to find a suitable resolution for recovery and repayment.
This will involve interrogating data leads and consumption trends, carrying out personal visits to our customer premises, and highlighting the dangers of energy theft through presentations to Police, Local Authorities, and other bodies as you build a network of contacts in your area.
Energy Theft is dangerous. Gas escapes and electrical contacts are a real risk, so you'll need to have a methodical mind and great situational awareness to stay safe in the field and due to the nature of Energy Theft visits you'll need a calm mind and the ability to reason.
Our RPOs are fully trained and equipped to recognise and de-escalate challenging scenarios. We
provide substantial training, full PPE, vehicle, and continued support from your wider team.
