- Cultivating enduring strategic client relationships within the UK Bridges sector.
- Conducting strategic customer visits to acquire new accounts and nurture existing ones.
- Leading our Business Development team in crafting technical proposals and bids, ensuring competitive bids at profitable levels.
- Collaborating with the Delivery team for seamless project handover, drawing lessons from past projects.
- Working with internal teams such as Business Development, Operations, Product Development, and Software to estimate scheme costs.
- Preparing technical and commercial proposals for customers, liaising with core supplier networks as needed.
- Reviewing proposals prepared by peers.
- Ensuring technical approval for proposals and reports as necessary.
- Maintaining up-to-date progress on all relevant opportunities in the database.
- Prioritizing opportunities in line with company strategy, consulting with Business Development and Commercial leadership.
- Proactively gathering and reporting market intelligence on competitors, market changes, and technical standards.

- An engineering degree or equivalent, preferably progressing towards a Chartered or Incorporated qualification
- Experience in structural monitoring, technical and/or commercial (desirable)
- Experience related to the UK rail or bridge community (desirable)
- Strong teamwork skills
- Previous IT proficiency (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, willingness to learn new apps)
- This is an office-based role, preferably located in our Bristol office, though Warrington is also considered, with occasional visits to other company and client offices.

Play a vital role in our success. Our Client prioritises relationships with customers, and as a Business Development Manager, you'll be at the forefront of securing profitable schemes in the UK Bridges sector (Aged and New Civil Infrastructure).
