    Job Title: Business Development Manager

    Location: Altrincham, Manchester, United Kingdom

    Reports into: Managing Director

Trusted for our specialist, cost-effective Security Consultancy & Managed Security Services, we cater to diverse clients including start-ups, SMEs, corporate organizations, and government agencies.

    Job Summary:

    We seek an experienced Business Development Manager with a tech or cyber security background.

    This role involves expanding our client base through new business development, upselling to existing clients through effective account management, and building a robust pipeline in the private and public sectors.

    This role offers uncapped commission potential, a structured career path and the opportunity to build a team by hiring Business Development Executives (BDEs) and Account Managers.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Business Development:
    2. Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
    3. Build a strong client pipeline through effective lead generation.
    4. Conduct LinkedIn outreach and networking activities.
    5. Upsell and expand services to existing clients.
    6. Relationship Building:
    7. Develop strong client relationships, understand their security needs.
    8. Conduct client visits, deliver compelling presentations, engage in consultative sales discussions.
    9. Serve as a trusted advisor, offer tailored solutions for client needs.
    10. Foster client relationships for long-term satisfaction and retention.
    11. Build relationships with Partners, contribute to the Cyber Security Partner Program.
    12. Sales Strategy and Execution:
    13. Collaborate on effective sales strategies with the leadership team.
    14. Meet or exceed sales targets, contribute to revenue growth.
    15. Maintain accurate sales records, report on activities, provide forecasts.
    16. Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities in cyber security.
    17. Lead in building a dynamic and successful Sales team.
    18. Team Collaboration:
    19. Collaborate with internal teams to optimize sales processes.
    20. Provide market feedback to refine service offerings.
    21. Work through the existing client base (of 200+ clients) to source opportunities.

    Key Skills and Requirements:

  • Proven sales experience in cyber security.
  • Strong understanding of cyber security consultancy services (such as Penetration Testing, GRC services)
  • Excellent relationship-building and networking skills with a strong LinkedIn presence.
  • Self-motivated and target-driven with a track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Comfortable with client visits and conducting sales discussions.
  • Experience with CRM solutions, ideally HubSpot.
  • Ability to manage a pipeline of opportunities and prioritize sales activities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong ambition and drive for professional growth.
  • Package:

  • Up to 50k basic with uncapped OTE.
  • Generous commission structure.
