    Description

    My customer is currently seeking a skilled Production Manager to join their facility located on the outskirts of Edinburgh. You will collaborate with a thriving manufacturer that fosters a results-oriented environment with a strong emphasis on constant enhancement.

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage and assess machine and labor resources to maintain ongoing productivity and reduce downtime
    • Create and arrange production schedules
    • Effectively allocate staff
    • Ensure cost-effective production, run operations as efficiently as possible, and minimize overtime expenses
    • Report production issues or difficulties to the Operations Manager when necessary
    • Ensure Team Leaders, Supervisors, and Section Leaders fulfill their respective roles and duties
    • Supervise the production process, ensuring compliance with required procedures and quality standards
    • Evaluate department performance based on Action Plans and KPI's
    • Provide encouragement, assistance, and direction to all staff members
    • Keep the factory floor informed about operational performance and company-related updates

    Required Experience:

    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing management position
    • Solid understanding, knowledge, and practical application of lean manufacturing principles and techniques
    • Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement, consistently seeking ways to enhance processes
    • Strong project management abilities
    • Capacity to lead, inspire, and influence large cross-functional teams
    • Proven history of training staff on productivity and safety
    • Successful execution of an efficient succession planning initiative
