The Aurora Group is an innovative provider of education and care for children, young people and adults with special educational needs and disabilities.
As part of our growth strategy, we are excited to be opening a brand-new Primary and Secondary Special Education school which will open its doors in early 5. Ryefields school is based in Derby with a proposed capacity of students aged between 5-. It is anticipated that the student cohort will have a primary diagnosis of ASC/ADHD.
We are currently looking for a Headteacher to join us in September 4 to support with the planning, creation, registration, opening and running of the new provision. The building will be completely redeveloped, and work is already underway to design the look and feel of the school to ensure it fulfils its potential of being an amazing learning environment. The facilities will allow students to access a varied curriculum in a calm and nurturing environment with a team that strives to give every student the confidence and opportunities to achieve.

The Role
The Role of the Headteacher is to provide vision, strategic leadership, direction and an effective culture for the school to the highest professional standard whist maintaining its success and providing a high quality of education which reflects Aurora's vision and values
In line with all Headteacher roles; you will ultimately be accountable for all areas of operational and educational performance within the School, as well as the financial performance and management of education and support staff.
To achieve in this role, you will be someone who inspires creativity and collaboration, a strong leader and a passionate advocate for your students, finding ways to deliver educational outcomes that make a real difference to them.
As Ryefields is a new school in the development stage, you will lead of the design and development of the school curriculum in order to meet the needs of the student cohort. You will also be instrumental in the recruitment and development of an effective team to secure the success of what we anticipate being an outstanding school.
