    Lids Sports Group is the largest licensed sports retailer in North America, selling fan and fashion-oriented headwear and apparel across the US, Canada, Mexico, Europe, and Australia.     We currently operate 1,200+ locations domestically and 50+ internationally, including specialty concept stores for the NBA, NHL, Paris Saint-Germain, and MLB teams. In recent years, Lids has built partnerships with iconic global brands including Marvel, Playboy, and the Harlem Globetrotters, and gained ambassadors like Justin Jefferson, Quavo, and Josephine Skriver – creating a community for both sports fans and fashion lovers.

    Head of Sales and Operations Europe, Manager (Lids International)

    Overview

    Lids is looking for a Head of Sales and Operations to oversee and develop our store teams across Europe for current brands (Lids, NBA, PSG) as well as potential future brands and projects. This person will be responsible for driving the sales team to beat top and bottom-line targets, ensure operational excellence, and drive our international expansion strategy across Europe.

    Job Duties/ Responsibilities

    • store sales teams and coach District Sales Managers to meet or exceed Sales, KPIs and Profitability targets. Monitor and achieve physical store performance goals. Drive adjustments to strategies and tactics as necessary to achieve goals.
    • and executes physical store strategy in alignment with overall strategy and priorities. Ensure strategy translates to regional strategies and vice-versa
    • and implement operational standards, policies, and procedures, execute transactions efficiently and effectively, and assist in the operation of retail stores across Europe as well as training the team and following up on operational KPIs
    • with Head Office UK team
    • of EU, on P&L targets, direction & vision
    • team to maximize stores' commerciality
    • & Facility manager, to ensure stores have a strong look & feel and customer experience
    • and Facility department on health and safety across the stores
    • of Marketing to align and capitalize on key and local moments
    • of VM to ensure top notch presentation in store
    • Department on salary increases and workforce planning.
    • and maintain a realistic Succession Plan. Anticipate the needs of the region and Company, while strategizing to prepare for all scenarios
    • Monitors and enhances employee engagement across all stores and develops strategies and tactics to address opportunities and issues.
    • and drive international expansion strategy which would include recommending countries, cities and specific locations for expansion team to investigate in real estate opportunities
    • P&L for a portfolio of Lids brands, including Paris Saint-Germain, Lids, Lids Locker Room, Lids Hat Drop, and additional special projects.
    • Other P&L responsibilities include analyzing and managing travel/meeting/maintenance and repairs/supplies expenses. In addition, they will maintain and foster a culture of excellence, professional execution, exemplary ethics, inspire and exhibit a sense of urgency and productive collaboration.
    • Lead workforce & labor management for the brand implementing a road map for the brand to continuously improve effectiveness in labor planning, scheduling and simplify the processes at the store level through use of technology or process enhancement.
    Requirements
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
    • 5+ years of retail and management experience
    • Bilingual, with preference for English and French fluency
    • Experience conducting business in UK, France or other European Union countries.
    • Experience building operational teams and processes
    • Strong People leadership skills
    • Critical thinking/Analytical skills
    • Bias for action and sense of urgency
    • Ability to navigate and lead through ambiguity and rapid change
    • Growth mindset
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and belief in teamwork
