    Our client is a dynamic and expanding global trading firm with a diverse energy, agriculture, base metals, and carbon market portfolio. With 20+ years of successful operations, the firm has recently entered a phase of accelerated growth, driven by strategic mergers, acquisitions, and advancements in finance and technology solutions.

    Job Summary:

    As a Senior Business Analyst in Finance Technology, you will join our client's growing London-based technology team and collaborate closely with global stakeholders. You will be critical in enhancing their financial infrastructure through advanced liquidity forecasting, asset-based lending, and comprehensive data management solutions to support their expansive global trading activities.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead and manage liquidity forecasting projects, integrating complex data streams across global markets to optimize cash flow management.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to guide data structure and system integration, ensuring efficient transaction processing, risk management, and compliance.
    • Develop and enhance financial models and tooling for better cash positioning, hedging strategies, and interest rate exposure management.
    • Work closely with developers to design and implement technology solutions that improve operational efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.
    • Liaise with senior stakeholders such as the CFO and Head of Credit to align technology initiatives with business strategies and financial goals.
    • Oversee the migration and integration of financial systems to modern platforms for improved bank reconciliations and loan management.

    Requirements:

    • Proven experience in financial systems analysis, preferably within a trading or commodities environment.
    • Strong background in project management and business analysis, with the ability to lead initiatives and manage senior stakeholder relationships.
    • Expertise in financial modelling, cash flow forecasting, and risk management.
    • Technical proficiency with Oracle Netsuite, Kyriba, or other similar financial management tools.
    • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic, cross-functional team environment.
    • Effective communication and leadership skills, capable of managing projects and guiding teams across global locations.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience in managing and integrating financial systems across multiple countries and dealing with complex subsidiary structures and multi-currency transactions.
    • Knowledge of commodity trading markets, including energy, agriculture, and metals, is highly desirable.
    • Familiarity with cloud-native technologies for transactional data management.
