    What Will Be Your Environment:

    The Huddersfield Plant is situated in Yorkshire, with <50 employees

    Our Huddersfield site specialises in the manufacture of additives for Lubrizol Performance Coatings. Working to ISO 9001:2015 and ISO-14001:2015 standards, the plant specializes in manufacturing both aqueous and solvent based resins, polymers, dispersants and adhesion promoters for the metals and coatings industries.

    Working with our customers, we produce essential ingredients in the formulation of organic and inorganic pigments used in the paints and coatings, printing inks, plastics, wood finishing and metal coatings industries. Our products give the end user extremely efficient particle dispersion, particle size stability and provide the highest level of appearance and performance. The products manufactured at Huddersfield are widely used across the world.

    The Barnsley Plant is situated in Yorkshire, with <50 employees

    Our Barnsley facility is the centre of excellence for formulated solutions in the Europe, Middle East, Africa and India region. Working to ISO 9001:2015 standards, the plant specialises in manufacturing ready-to-use products that combine the optimal polymeric binder chemistry with multiple functional additives resulting in superior physical and aesthetic performance, such as flame retardancy/fire safety, abrasion resistance, stretch recovery and environmental comfort.

    Working closely with customers and major retail organisations, our products are used in the domestic, commercial and institutional sectors of upholstered furnishings and window blinds, technical textiles such as automotive, protective and industrial fabrics and high performance apparel.

    What You'll Do:

    As a Supply Planning Supervisor you will be Supervising the PCG Scheduling team, leading the day-to-day operations, this position covers our Barnsley and Huddersfield sites, and you will be required to travel to both sites based on your workload and priorities.

    You will be working with team and individuals to manage inventory of materials (in each area of responsibility) and balancing customer orders, this includes answering to customer's orders (not confirmed by ATP), establishing manufacturing programs and detailed scheduling, replenishing inventoried materials within necessary timescale, setting of inventory level targets, and considering any plant, toller or vendor constraints.

    As a supply chain Planning Supervisor you will be overseeing the Intercompany Stock Transfer Process to fulfil the regional and global requirements effectively, and overseeing Brexit transfer to fulfil European demand effectively, and overseeing the Toll Manufacturing processes. You will assist schedulers with daily problems and decision making, and be a point of contact for the Plant Manager and Regional Supply Planner. You will ensure quarterly reconciliations are performed at External and Third-Party Warehouses, and follow the quality, environmental and safety policies and showing a full commitment to the Quality and Environment Management System and HSE&S systems in place.

    What We're Looking For:

  • Supervise the Supply Planning team at the location's covering the full Planning Processes to ensure an efficient material chain from procurement to production including improvement of material flow based on optimisation of inventories and effective production planning.
  • Plan and manage the development of the Supply Planning personnel in alignment with Career Essentials system and Supply Chain and Business Goals.
  • Function as specialist / escalation level for possible issues of non-fulfilment. Setting of priorities as appropriate.
  • Align Supply Chain with the market-focussed businesses, and design back up plan for each Planner and their responsibilities. Arrange appropriate training for cover and new hires.
  • Monitor KPI's set.
  • Responsible for overall Inventory accuracy and reconciliation processes internally and external locations
  • Participate and get involved in assignments and projects operationally necessary and commensurate with duties.
  • Ensure HS&E and SOX Compliance
  • Skills That Make a Difference:

  • Completed vocational technical or commercial education.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Inventory management, Production planning or Logistics OR
  • Good SAP Knowledge and understanding of Planning & Scheduling activities. MRP, ATP etc.
  • Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Ability to work independently; honest and trustworthy.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Facilitator, collaborative, and coaching style.
  • Excellent planning and time management skills, meeting company and business deadlines.
  • People management and supervision skills are required to ensure smooth and effective running of the scheduling team.
  • Proactively adapts to changes in the business.
