- Provide responsive quality support to internal and external customers via resident @ Customer plant.
- Facilitate problem solving activities. Support the senior Quality engineer who owns the timely completion of 8-D responses. Drive 8-Discipline problem solving (8-D) and use of Faurecia Excellence methods such as 7 basics and QRQC tools to achieve quality targets.Effectively validate containments, root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actionsAnalyse Right First Time results and initiate necessary correctives and preventative actionsRecommend start and stop of temporary Quality Wall every time required.
- Support the Supplier Quality Assurance Engineers for production and warranty issuesEffective implementation of containments and facilitating the root cause analysis
- Own the quality documentation for the plant:Handover of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) from programLiaise with engineering to ensure that PFMEA and SOP's are up to date including any warranty risks at all timeOwn customer PPAP activities and documentation for the plantRepresent quality in engineering change meetings and conduct relevant activities.
- Own and enforce plant Control Plan (create, implement, update).Enforce internal product quality audits through quality technicians. Communicate results to production. And drive necessary actions.Own the weekly & yearly COP (conformity of production) product validation.
- Maintain and document the System Analysis (MSA) requirements with systems engineer.
- Own the warranty process:Analysis and report of warranty parts. Maintain warranty records/documentation in Faurecia and customer specified formats (b2b portal).Initiate and drive corrective/preventive actions for warranty with 8D tools. Drive changes initiated from warranty issue in plant processes and design for avoidance of repeating faults.Participate at Customer Product- and Process-Quality-Improvement Projects
- Co-ordinate with Quality Technicians to ensure successful completion of Quality tasks.Support shifts on unplanned absences (if needed)
- Assist Senior Quality Engineer, all Quality department staff and other functions to ensure successful achievement of Quality targets.
- Proactively seek opportunities for continuous improvement across the organisation
- An HND or similar level equivalent qualification in Engineering with a specialisation in quality
- Experience within an industrial environment in a quality department
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Demonstrable knowledge of internal and external quality systems, tools and techniques (FES, TS and QS ).
- Sound analytical approach to problem solving.
