    We now have an exciting opportunity for an Enterprise Architect (Applications) to join our fantastic team.

    Reporting to the Group Head of Applications, the Group Enterprise Architect (Applications) is responsible for shaping the strategic direction of our application landscape. They will play a critical role in driving the rationalisation and consolidation of our application portfolio whilst also establishing governance frameworks and best practices to ensure alignment with business objectives. They will guard the integrity of our enterprise application landscape and solution architecture by implementing and facilitating governance forums and approval processes.

    Key Accountabilities

    • Lead the design and development of the organisation's future state enterprise applications architecture.
    • Develop and maintain application architecture frameworks, standards and guidelines to ensure consistency, scalability and maintainability across the enterprise.
    • Develop and maintain the business capability/enterprise reference model for applications.
    • Identify and propose opportunities to simplify, standardise and consolidate our applications estate.
    • Evaluate and plan the integration of new acquisitions into the application landscape.
    • Define and plan our application rationalisation/capability roadmaps, identify risks and dependencies, maintaining alignment between group and regional plans.
    • Align with infrastructure and security teams on application architecture decisions, policies and standards.
    • Develop and maintain a network of key IT and business contacts to ensure alignment of technical solutions with business objectives.
    • Collaborate with system architects and developers to ensure seamless deployment and integration of group and regional applications.
    • Develop and maintain an accurate catalogue of the application landscape including all integrations.
    • Establish and conduct governance activities to ensure any technology investment decisions across the group and regions align with the technology strategy and software policies.

    Who we are looking for

    • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
    • experience in an Enterprise Architect or Senior Solutions Architect role with a focus on applications
    • Proven experience of implementing enterprise architecture best practices and governance.
    • Demonstrable experience in application lifecycle management and leading a complex application rationalisation programme.
    • Experience of mobilising and chairing governance forums such as a Technical Design Authority
    • Knowledge of security and infrastructure principles and best practices in application design and implementation
