Maintenance Engineer - Plumber

Location : New Craigs Hospital, Inverness

Contract - Full time Permanent

Your new role

What you'll do:

To undertake planned and responsive plumbing work either independently or supervised

To undertake maintenance duties in such a manner as to support the objectives of the client and with respect for the dignity and privacy of the resident group.

To ensure the safe operation of all plant, equipment, and tools

To always operate with safe working practices with due regard to Health and Safety

Regulations, COSHH, Control of Infection, Waste Disposal etc in accordance with

legislative requirements and policies and procedures of RFM.

To take part in an On-Call rota providing 24hr, 365-day cover to the Facilities

The post holder will be required to maintain an awareness of RFM's policies, procedures and objectives related to the successful delivery of the maintenance service.

To provide support and assistance to other RFM personnel on site in the delivery of contracted services.

To maintain asset histories, maintenance records and helpdesk reports, informing the RFM Contracts Manager or sub-contractors of any follow up action that may be required.

To carry out any other duties assigned by the Management Team in connection with RFM's operational requirements.

Full compliance of handheld technology (PDA & Tablet) using RFM's management system

What you'll need:

The ability to work on own initiative and demonstrate a methodical approach

Previous maintenance experience working in FM environment

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

The ability to work as part of a team and under pressure

Dedication and ambition to develop within the role

Computer literate and numerate

To be capable of multi-tasking

Must hold full driving licence. NVQ Level 2 or higher in plumbing

Extensive experience of property maintenance gained in either the public or private sector

ACS Commercial and Catering gas qualification, refrigeration experience is an advantage

Full Drivers Licnece + Access to a car.

The successful candidate will require a DBS/Disclosure Check
