    Engineer – Transmission-Distribution Interface Location:
    Energy Systems

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Engineer to join our Energy Systems Team.

    In this role you will be responsible for working across the electricity system to support major customers connecting to our electricity distribution network to secure access rights on the transmission system.

    Providing technical authority for transmission system applications and offers, you will use your knowledge of electricity networks planning to support customers to meet their energy goals and ensure the system is efficiently developed.

    Prepare and submit applications for transmission access, collating inputs from colleagues and applying scrutiny to deliver high quality outputs to the Electricity System Operator (ESO).


    • Develop and routinely check quality standards for transmission access.
    Knowledge of legal frameworks and contract law


    • Planning & Organising
    • HNC Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
    • Full UK driving licence.
    • Technical understanding of the distribution and transmission electricity networks.
    • Analytical and data-driven - strong data & analytics skills to develop reports and visualisations.
    • Understanding of the technical process for connection applications to the GB electricity networks.
