The Team provides specialist technical, analytical and advisory support across a range of complex markets products with significant portfolio values.


You'll join a team which is at the heart of the Delivery function, supporting clients and key partners across our Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB), Business & Commercial Banking (BCB) and Group Corporate Treasury (GCT) businesses.


Job Description:

What will the Role Involve


As Head of Markets Middle Office you'll play a key role as part of the Markets & Lending Delivery Senior Leadership Team.

You'll drive transformation of the Middle Office support we provide to partners across Corporate & Institutional Coverage (CIC), Lloyds Bank Corporate Markets (LBCM) and Group Corporate Treasury (GCT).

You'll enjoy working in a fast paced role at a time of intense change, increasing regulation and preparation for growth.- Planning, leading and delivering on the strategic direction of the Middle Office function to align with Stakeholders / Group- Fostering great relationships with the BCB and CIB Markets businesses (including LBCM and its subsidiaries)- Representing MLD as a key business partner at relevant governance committees and forums- Leading effective ownership of Transaction Management Middle Office activities for LBCM & CIB Ringfenced bank with responsibility for post trade client support and reporting- Redefining the Trade Control function, ensuring robust end to end controls, risk management and reporting- Driving forward Regulatory Trade and Transaction Reporting for all LBG trading entities, engaging regularly with the two primary regulators - the FCA and NFA.- Responsibility for post trade regulatory change portfolio impacting MLD, working in partnership with the Markets Platform team- Positively influencing others by demonstrating core LBG values and behaviours, developing and motivating colleagues to ensure a successful team able to deliver our business objectives.

Embedding the LBG culture and vision through visible leadership- Engaging with third party suppliers and partners to explore how market and industry changes will influence and challenge the Markets business and required middle office support- Driving a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence

You'll possess an intellectual curiosity in your outlook, continuously seeking to innovate.- You have in depth Markets & Treasury Knowledge required to ensure the sophisticated middle office processes are appropriately delivered- You understand the wider business, economic and market environment in which LBG operate with an awareness of LBG business strategy and model and proven ability to translate complex business requirements into a clear operating model- You're a strong leader, highly experienced in delivering through others and with significant experience of leading large, multi-disciplinary functions- You'll be someone who can communicate effectively, building and maintaining strong working relationships internally across the Group and externally with other industry participants, trade bodies and suppliers, using these relationships to build influence and drive future business direction
