About the role
We have a great opportunity to join the Wastewater Tactical Planning team at an exciting time as we continue to develop our use of Copperleaf Portfolio for investment decision optimisation and mature the service offering of our team.
In this role you will take full responsibility for developing and managing rolling tactical plans for our wastewater performance commitments covering operational, maintenance and investment interventions. You will liaise with stakeholders across the Directorate and wider business to develop, implement and monitor tactical plans that deliver best value for our wastewater performance commitments.
You will develop to be an expert in the use of Copperleaf Portfolio to run investment optimisation scenarios. Following a training period you will be quickly capable of supporting our PR24 business plan with scenario support and you will provide this service to the business on an ongoing basis. You will be expected to work closely with other members of the tactical planning team in the development of capital programmes of work and produce a range of reports on things such as asset risk and capital investment.
About you
We're looking for the successful candidate to have proven experience of working with a range of stakeholders with strong communication and influencing skills. The ability to build good working relationships within your own team and across the business is essential.
You'll be comfortable utilising asset management software and have excellent analytical skills which you have used to interpret complex data and produce accurate reports.
You will have a confident and flexible approach whilst managing your time effectively to meet the needs of the team. You will be expected to use initiative to challenge and suggest improvements across your range of influence (in both changes to investment plans and how our business processes can improve using our new capabilities).
It would be beneficial for you to have asset management experience or qualification and knowledge of wastewater network or treatment processes. Economics knowledge could be useful in this role. Whether you are a recent graduate or have relevant asset management experience, we are keen to hear how you can join our team and make a positive difference.
This role has also been defined as a safety or security critical role and as a condition of a formal offer of employment you'll be required to undergo a drug and alcohol test.
