    We have a new role for a External Reporting Senior Manager on a full-time permanent basis.

    This role is involved in high profile transactions and will act as the main accounting adviser for some key elements of these transactions assisting other stakeholders within the Group to understand the practical application of the Group finance manual.

    The job holder will have project responsibilities, such as the improvement and development of existing processes, and will manage a team of two accountants based in Poznan. In addition to the above, the key responsibilities will include:

    Corporate costs
    • Full income statement ownership for the reporting, planning, and forecasting of Group's 'sundry' corporate costs including Share based payments, audit fees, pensions and insurance costs (c.£70m).
    • Responsible for the monthly financial close and submission of the Group's sundry cost including variance analysis to show MTD, QTD & YTD movements against Actuals and Plan and latest CMF.
    • Responsible for the review and submission of forecasts/CMF/LRP/ABP in line with planning calendar.
    Employee benefits
    • Pension accounting under IFRS (e.g. IAS 19, IFRC 14);
    • Provide ad-hoc pension accounting advice to local subsidiaries as required;
    • Liaise with the Group actuaries during the quarterly and annual reporting cycles to agree scope for external review of in-country valuation updates and to subsequently ensure these valuations are appropriately recorded by the Group's entities.
    • Agree with our group actuary, the scope of additional disclosure information required to meet the pension reporting requirements in the Annual Report.
    • Quarterly reporting of IAS 19 and assets/liabilities from the sponsoring employer's perspective; liaising with Group Actuary as needed.
    • Review shared based payments accounting under IFRS2 ensuring this substantial expense is recorded and disclosed in the Group accounts accurately.
    • Manage the yearly process of Directors Remuneration Reporting in the Annual report. This involves working with HR, Tax and external auditors.
    • Point of contact for technical queries in relation to IAS 19 - Pensions, external actuaries, and external auditors and IFRS2 - Share based payments.
    Other responsibilities
    • Responsible for Sarbanes Oxley reporting, ensuring all processes and controls are being performed including the annual revalidation process.
