    English Tutor

    Immediate start

    STEM Specialist School

    Ideal for an English Graduate, experienced English Tutor or qualified English Teacher

    An English Tutor is needed in a mixed Secondary School & Sixth Form in South London.

    Employment for this English Tutor role will be full time and long term.

    Tutoring for this English Tutor post will be for KS3 and KS4 English, in line with the National Curriculum.

    Working days for this English Tutor position will consist of six 1 hour sessions, tutoring 1 to 3 pupils at a time.

    The rates of pay for this English Tutor position will be between £120 to £180 a day, depending on the qualifications and experiences of each applicant.

    The school's staff endeavour to set high standards for their pupils, to ensure they continue develop their attainment and personal character. This is to prepare them for life after education, whether they choose to go straight in to work or pursue further education.

    One element which assists with this, is the wide-ranging curriculum, which enables students to access learning that is both broad and effective.

    With a large intake of pupils from the immediate/local area, the school builds on and further enhances the strong relationships between members of its community.

    Requirements

    You are encouraged to apply if you are a recent English Graduate, experienced English Tutor or qualified English Teacher.

    Applications are also welcome if you are a British trained English Tutor or overseas trained English Tutor.

    All applicants must have the following in order to be considered for this English Tutor position:

    Right to work in the UK

    Clear and up to date Enhanced DBS

    Knowledge of the English National Curriculum

    A UK Bachelor's Degree in English or UK QTS/overseas equivalent
