    Consultant in Community Paediatrics - London, United Kingdom - Barts Health NHS Trust

    They will be joining a pro-active team with an excellent clinical reputation in providing a range of Neonatal services. The consultant team delivers a high quality service and use their knowledge and experience to lead and influence the development of neonatal services within Barts Health

    We anticipate that the successful applicants to be part of a strong team and complement the team in delivering high quality care to an extremely vulnerable group of patients and their families.

    The post is primarily based on the NICU with occasional cross cover of the Neonatal Transfer service.

    The pan London Neonatal Transfer Service is based at the Royal London providing both emergency and elective transfers within London and the South East.

    You will be employed by Barts Health NHS Trust and will be based at The Royal London Hospital and will be working towards ten programmed activities.

    Membership of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (MRCPCH) or equivalent
    Registration on the Specialist Register and CCT in Paediatrics (Neonatal Medicine) / CCT/CT in Paediatrics and equivalent training in neonatal medicine to fulfil syllabus/competency requirements as published by the RCPCH
    The applicant should be able to produce evidence that he/she is within 6 months of CCT date and is expected to achieve a Completion Certificate of Training
    Able to demonstrate recent experience and practice in neonatal medicine as a sub-specialist
    MD, MSc, PhD or equivalent higher degree

    Advanced clinical skills in neonatal medicine
    Experience of undergraduate and postgraduate teaching
    Formal training in teaching skills

    Management:
    Formal management training
    Evidence of drive, enthusiasm, and a flexible approach
