    Job Description

    Our client, a prominent player in the finance industry, committed to innovation and excellence seek a experienced front office technologist, with a strong proficiency in Excel and Python. As they revamp their desktop environment, they require a innovation lead to convert the backend excel features to python, whilst retaining a familiar front-end portfolio managers are familiar with.

    As a Desktop Environment Specialist, you'll be instrumental in migrating our desktop tools onto a hybrid Python-Excel framework. Working alongside experts in the field, you'll collaborate with various teams to deliver solutions that push the boundaries of portfolio management.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Take ownership of individual components within our suite of desktop tools.
    • Collaborate cross-functionally to develop and implement cutting-edge solutions.
    • Drive innovation by identifying opportunities to enhance portfolio management capabilities.
    • Engage with stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions.
    • Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing tools, ensuring optimal performance.

    Requirements:

    • 3 to 10 years of experience in a relevant role within the finance industry.
    • Strong proficiency in Excel and Python, with exposure to compiled programming languages.
    • Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
    • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a passion for innovation.
    • Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions.
