- To promote a safe clinical environment for all patients, visitors and staff.

- As a specialist cancer nurse, to assess the educational and informational needs of the patient and family. This includes producing and using appropriate materials to ensure optimum understanding of nursing care and the likely outcome.

- To assess patients for a suitable central venous access device.
- To provide education to patients on the care and management of central venous access devices and to adopt a problem solving approach to managing complications with all vascular access devices. Person Specification

The Olayan unit is a day care facility, providing intravenous chemotherapy and supportive therapies to patients with a wide variety of Solid and Haematological cancers. The unit offers a modern, pleasant environment to ensure comfort and a relaxed setting throughout the patient's pathway. We are looking for a highly motivated, positive senior staff nurse or an experienced band 6 looking to progress. The candidate will need a calm leadership style to support leading and managing a busy Daycare unit. You will be required to lead a team, manage shifts, and contribute to service improvement in a friendly, supportive day care setting.
