    Description
    Following the retirement of this company's Quality Manager, their Quality Engineer has been promoted to Manager, and they're now looking to hire a new Quality Engineer to join the team.

    This job will suit you if your background is in precision engineering quality where metal components are machined using CNC mills, CNC lathes and other, similar machine tools.

The company works very closely with their customers, often meeting together to discuss quality matters, always putting great emphasis on processes and procedures to uphold the well established quality management system which is in place.

    With the support of the Quality Manager, your duties as the company's new Quality Engineer will include:
    • Carrying out duties relating to the upkeep of the Quality Management System
    • Writing new procedures and updating current operating procedures as and when needed
    • Carrying out internal quality audits according to industry standards (training courses can be provided where needed)
    • Working with machinists wherever issues are raised to find a resolution
    • Raising Non-Conformances, completing reports and closing out with customers
    • Carrying out root cause analysis as part of a team
    • Completing First Article Inspection Reports
    • Booking in of materials to include Goods In Quality Inspection
    • Plus any associated duties as required.
    Your job will see you working in a business where precision engineered components are machined using CNC mills, lathes and a range of other precision manufacturing equipment. You'll join a small yet already well established and supportive team where you'll be welcomed and given all the support you need to settle in and to get up to speed in your new job.     About you - as the company's new Quality Engineer:
    If you're a Quality Engineer from a sub-contract precision engineering environment, or if your background is in original equipment manufacture, we would be keen to hear from you.
    Perhaps you're already a Quality Engineer with experience in all of the duties listed above, or maybe you've not long started your journey in Engineering Quality and you're looking to develop your career with a growing, forward thinking employer.     Job title: Quality Engineer
    Location: Near Slimbridge, Gloucestershire. Commutable from Thornbury, Yate, Bradley Stoke, Patchway, Gloucester, Stroud and surrounding areas.
    Working hours: 39 hour working week, day shift with a lunchtime finish on Fridays.
    Pay rate: As a guide, we're looking to pay between £35,000 and £40,000 plus benefits. Please do get in touch to let us know your salary requirements, we will do our best to meet what you need.
