This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically focussed accountant with 2/3 years post-qual experience that is at manager / new manager level, looking to work with one of the largest global media business, based here in London.
The role sits at group level and is very dynamic, seeing you partnering with a wide variety of stakeholders in Corp Dev, Legal, Tax etc, answering queries across M&A, big revenue contracts and more.
The ideal candidate must be in a very technical accounting role currently (that isn't too heavily group reporting focussed) with a strong working knowledge of IFRS and proven experience writing accounting papers.
Responsibilities:
Awareness of regulatory and accounting policies (including IFRS).
Gather relevant literature in order to disseminate changes to policy to relevant stakeholders.
Ensure that accounting policies are applied across the wider Group, partnering where required.
Support projects and new/modified contracts from an accounting perspective.
Create / collate technical summary papers for complex accounting transactions and business issues, provide research and present analysis to ensure the impact on the group financial statements is in line with accounting standards and regulations and is communicated to and fully understood by relevant stakeholders.
Support the Group Reporting team in ensuring periodic reporting is accurate, timely and complies with all relevant regulations and standards.
Work in partnership with other departments (tax, treasury, legal, M&A) and operating companies to consider and advise.Assist the Group Technical Accounting team in the creation and delivery of clear and useful training and accounting updates across the group.
Review the group's financial statements and provide technical accounting input where necessary.Provide information, support, and work with external auditors and advisors.
About you:
Qualified ACA Accountant.
Strong IFRS, SOX and internal control frameworks knowledge, with proven experience.
Large multinational experience.
Ideally both UK & US listing exposure.
Knowledge of SEC regulations & requirements preferred.
