Location: Bethesda MD20814 Weekly Hours FT: 3040 hours perweek Overall Position Summary andObjectives

The purpose of this position is to assist thegovernment Contracting Officer Representatives in managing designand construction projects of various types and complexity in ahospital laboratory and office settings.

Coordinates the functioning of building systemsincluding mechanical fire and life safety elevatorsetc.
Coordinates andfacilitates renovation projects.
Develops plans for all renovation projectstaking into account feasibility from architectural engineering andbudgetary perspectives.
Coordinates space telecommunications safetytimelines etc. for relocation of staff and installation of utilitysystems for specialized equipment or functions asneeded.
Coordinates withdivision of safety staff to ensure all safety policies areimplemented and maintained.
Collaborates with investigators and constructionstaff to find costeffective solutions on all renovation projectsand solicits technical input from subject matterexperts.
Performs impactstudies to ascertain the level of resource support needed to ensurebuilding infrastructures can handle new scientificequipment.

DeliverablesWork products and documents related to advising on allaspects of planning design and execution of assigned projects;oversee and maintain watch on the progress and status of projects;ensure that progress and schedules of projects are not hampered.Work products and documents related to monitoring schedule and costof major projects for excessive cost overruns orclaims; establishreporting system to ensure that timely notification is provided tothe government representative of any deviation from original budgetor schedule; serve as subject matter expert. Work products anddocuments related to attending meetings; provide positive andproductive coordination to achieve targetoutcomes; perform onsitewalks and inspections to support project execution.
