    Design Engineer - Body Structures

    Permanent


    This vacancy presents a brilliant opportunity for a Design Engineer - Body Structures to join a forward-thinking organisation who are a global leader in the design, development, and manufacturing of electric vehicles and is offering a competitive salary and benefits package.


    Our client is a multiple award-winning Automotive Manufacturer who is at the forefront of Electric Vehicle technology and dedicated to a sustainable future.


    Design Engineer - Body Structures role:
    Responsible for the design and development of Body Structures,
    Support the creation of 3D CAD data to support programme timing,
    Help ensure components meet perceived quality targets for fit and finish,
    Help ensure Cost, Quality and Timing against business requirements,
    Support Problem Definition and Root Cause Analysis through to Interim and Permanent Corrective Action,
    Responsibility for the creation of clash free CAD geometry ensuring designs meet all Manufacturing & Service requirements,
    Participate in design reviews to ensure adherence to Design Standards,
    Use quality history Reviews and Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (DFMEA) in new design system design,
    Help create timing plans and the management of their introduction to agreed timelines with a cross functional team,
    Design Engineer - Body Structures Requirements:

    Degree level educated (or equivalent) or relevant experience in an engineering field,
    Experience working as a Design Engineer within Body Structures
    An ability to manage multiple ongoing projects and changing priorities.
    CAD system knowledge, Solidworks/Catia or similar
    Experience of new product development within the automotive industry for worldwide market requirements
