    Up to £45,000

    Polytec are looking for an Equipment Engineer for our client based just north of Cambridge.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and upgrade cleanroom environment and facilities
    • Upgrade equipment from proof-of-concept to execution
    • Analyse equipment breakdowns, developing corrective actions
    • Continuous improvement to enhance equipment reliability and scalability
    • Develop preventive maintenance procedures to minimise equipment breakdowns
    • Develop troubleshooting procedures to reduce machine downtime
    • Setup and commission new equipment
    • Regular maintenance offering minimal interruption to production

    Requirements:

    • Ideally around 5 years' experience as an equipment engineer in a chemical / semiconductor manufacturing environment
    • Degree / HND in a scientific or engineering field (equivalent experience acceptable)
    • A good understanding of electronic and mechanical principles
    • Excellent problem-solving skills
    • Good communication skills, both in writing and verbally
    • Familiar with maintaining equipment
