    Description
    Our professional responsibility is to reduce the risk of infection to others as far as possible. Getting vaccinated against diseases that can be passed person-to-person in healthcare settings is part of this responsibility. The Trust will provide advice, guidance and support on vaccinations and access to vaccinations where requested.

    This role isa permanent 22.This role can be offered with a flexibleworking pattern to support someone wishing to continue another clinicalposition alongside this role or to complement a good work life balance or otherpersonal commitments.

    Meadow View is an inpatient unit that provides assessment andtreatment for older people with severe mental health needs, such as depression,anxiety and psychosis.

    The roleinvolves working closely as part of an established Multidisciplinary Team and recovery is at the heart of everything we do - it is about people buildinga meaningful life and represents a shift away from focusing on illness andsymptoms towards a focus on personal health, strengths and wellness.

    We are encouraging applications from experienced physiotherapists who have a varied clinical background, with excellentassessment and treatment skills, as well as excellent communication skills and are enthusiastic about promoting physical health and championing the fantastic role that physiotherapy plays within an MDT.

    Therole will require you to confidently work both independently and as part of ateam with older adults with a wide range of complex physical and mental healthneeds, completing thorough assessments and providing evidence-based treatmentprogrammes as well as running exercise groups and 1 to 1 rehab sessions.

    Aspart of this role you will be responsible for the provision of a quality andresponsive Physiotherapy service across the site.

    You will become an importantpart of the longstanding multidisciplinary team working to ensure that everypatient receives high quality care. On the job training and development will be providedas well as ongoing and support.

    We provide mental health, learning disability and neurodiversity services, as well as a range of specialist & secure services for the wider south west region & nationally.

    Diploma/Degree in Physiotherapy
    Good knowledge of general Physiotherapy work
    To have empathy for older people with complex issues
    Ability to travel to meet the requirements of the role
    Good knowledge of working with Older People with mental health issues
    Experience of working with Older People
    Experience of working in a mental health setting
