About the Role
To provide final level technical escalation for Nasstar's managed service customers with the aim to resolve all complex escalated customer incidents, service requests, problems and change. The incumbent will truly be a technical expert, highly credible, and acknowledged for their expertise across multiple technology platforms.
Responsibilities:
The role will be customer-facing, strengthening customer confidence in Nasstar's ownership and technical expertise in resolving high-priority tickets.
The role is also proactively responsible for identifying consistent trends and for resolving these on an ongoing basis which drives continual service improvement
Being part of a highly specialised technical community that will work together across geographies in the sharing of knowledge and in resolving complex tickets
You will have the opportunity to work with the latest leading-edge technologies in a service operations environment that promotes systems and service excellence.
Other duties will include but not limited to:-
•Ticket Management
•Queue Ownership
•Customer Management
•Process Compliance
•Technical Leadership
•Best practice configuration reviews
•Infrastructure vulnerability and lifecycle patching
What does success look like?
•Deliverable 1: Resolve incidents and requests within SLA for customers that cannot be resolved at the Nasstar 3rd Line Engineer level
•Deliverable 2: Develop and mentor other team members with an approachable manner, helping to develop Best Practice and standards that can be shared with the team
•Deliverable 3: Being the authoritative voice on technical decisions and being able to present to internal and external stakeholders
What we are looking for:
Education & Qualifications:
Experience:
•Microsoft Server and core infrastructure services such as Active Directory, group policy & common server roles
•Microsoft Azure key infrastructure services such as Virtual Machines, Azure Storage, Backup and DR business continuity services
•Infrastructure Hypervisor Services to include VMware vCloud Director, vCentre , ESXi Server and Microsoft Hyper-V
•Infrastructure Hardware, SAN Storage, FC Switches, Physical server hardware
•Fortinet Firewalls or similar firewall device with UTM functionality Security best practice
Skills / Aptitude:
An independent, self-starter capable of managing their own workload
Highly organised and able to multi-task effectively
Aptitude for quick problem resolution whilst working under pressure
Excellent communication skills
Comfortable working a fast-paced environment
