We help all LGBT people to achieve their full potential and aim to be here if you need us.Our Indigo Gender Service is an NHS commissioned Primary Care Service for trans and non-binary people in Greater Manchester.
It launched in December 2020 and continues to deliver safe, timely and affirmative health care to our service users as part of our mission to support trans and non-binary people to thrive.
Were now looking for an Indigo Speech and Language Therapist to join our Indigo Gender Service on a full-time, permanent basis, working 37 hours per week.
This will require working evenings, weekends and some longer days.26 days annual leave (rising to 30 days after 5 years service)
You'll have the chance to undertake a fully funded postgraduate qualification in Gender Healthcare at the Royal College of Physicians (Online), enabling you to expand your portfolio, enrich your skill set and empower you to make an even greater difference in the lives of others.
As an Indigo Speech and Language Therapist, you will help trans and gender-diverse people explore how best to support and facilitate the development of an authentic voice through our speech and language therapy service.
In this key role, you will assess, treat and manage a caseload of people and collaborate with others to deliver a community-based, user-focused service.
Provide advice and training to colleaguesOther organisations may call this role Speech Therapist, Language Therapist, Speech and Language Specialist, Speech and Language Consultant, Speech and Language Therapy Consultant, Speech and Language Therapy Specialist, Adult Speech and Language Therapist, Clinical Speech and Language Specialist, or Clinical Speech and Language Therapist.
