We're looking for a professional, dynamic individual wanting structured career progression, training and development.Part of our Built Environment Services team, your challenge will be to undertake monitoring of stack emissions from industrial processes, primarily to determine compliance with Environmental Permit requirements and obligations at client premises.
This role specifically includes an element of equipment repair and maintenance. Monitoring emissions to documented procedures, published standards and protocols and industry best practiceWorking to SOCOTEC's Health & Safety Policies and customers' site rules and procedures contained in the SOCOTEC Quality Manual
Undertaking any equipment maintenance, calibration, or kit preparation tasks, as required plus laboratory duties and report writing
A degree or equivalent in an environmental/scientific discipline (desirable but not essential for the right candidate)
An interest to develop a career in stack emissions monitoring using manual sampling and instrumental analysing techniques
Experience carrying out electrical and/or instrumental repairs
A desire to work outdoors and at heights on occasions at a variety of industrial locations, which can be physically and mentally challenging
Availability to work away from home during the working week for some days during each month
A full driving licence, and a flexible and positive attitude
