We focus on delivering an exceptional experience to residents living in our quality, yet affordable homes.The People department is responsible for delivering People (HR) services, encompassing employee relations, learning and development, recruitment, total rewards and employee experience.
Reporting to the Director of People, the People (HR) Advisor will be a HR generalist providing HR expertise in all aspects of the employee lifecycle.
Provide expert advice and guidance to employees and managers at all levels concerning all aspects of generalist HR, ensuring advice and action taken reflects our policies, values, and compliance with employment lawRegularly review and propose updates to People policies and processes to reflect changes to local legislation
Recruitment
Collaborate with hiring managers on the delivery of recruitment campaigns e.g. drafting job descriptions, job advertising, partnering with recruitment agencies, coordinating candidate testing and interviews
Effectively maintain the ATS, updating recruitment activity for reporting
Prepare and send offers and employment contracts, coordinate referencing checks, collate onboarding documents, create new users in HR system (Bamboo HR)
Manage onboarding and offboarding processes, conduct People inductions with new starters, support hiring managers with induction process, collaborate with Office Management and IT to ensure smooth delivery of onboarding and offboarding processes
Update monthly payroll changes report and collate payroll documents for checking and sign off from the Director of People and Financial Controller
Learning and Development
Effectively maintain our Learning Management and Performance Management System, Kallidus: assigning e-learning to colleagues, onboarding and offboarding users, ensuring managers track reviews and their team's development in Kallidus Perform, and system features are being utilised and delivered effectively
Support the Director of People with Learning and Development initiatives and projects
Administration, Projects, Culture
Maintenance of HR system (Bamboo HR), organisation of department folders and trackers, ensuring People data is accurate and up to date
Contribute to department and company-wide projects
Collaborate with Office Management, Marketing and ESG colleagues on the coordination and delivery of employee engagement, company events, ESG and wellbeing initiatives.
Previous experience in a similar HR generalist role within a HR/People team covering all aspects of HR/People. HR/People experience gained within a start up/high growth environment is desirableExperience in payroll coordination
Experience in maintaining HR, LMS and Performance Management systems, experience/knowledge of Bamboo HR and Kallidus is desirable
Relevant degree and/or HR qualification e.g. Recognises and practices the importance of confidentiality and dealing with sensitive matters and data
A confident and resilient self-starter, ability to work alone and within a team
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint, ability to generate and prepare reports
