    Actio Engineering Recruitment are delighted to be assisting our Leighton Buzzard based client with their search for a Sales/Estimating Engineer.

    Our client is a forward-thinking business that specialise in the manufacture of low volume, high quality components for various sectors including Aerospace, Oil & Gas and Defence industries.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical estimates for incoming work, liaising with customers, suppliers and production team to ensure accurate estimates. It would be beneficial to come from a machining background and have CNC machining knowledge.

    The Role

    • Receive, review and reply to customers RFQ's and their engineering drawings.
    • Create timely and accurate estimates and quotations from customer enquiries.
    • Liaising with customers regarding technical and non-technical questions
    • Produce quotation to deadlines – estimating all machining, materials and inspection times for in-house elements.
    • Understand and identify machining methods of manufacture and select accurate cycle times.
    • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and creating accurate process plans.
    • Liaise with production, engineering and quality team to ensure accuracy and feasibility.
    • Source supplier/subcontractor quotations, developing new and existing supplier relationship.
    About You
    • Extensive experience with precision engineering and knowledge of machining capabilities/machining practices
    • Ability to read / interpret engineering drawings
    • An excellent working knowledge of the mechanical engineering
    • Excellent interpersonal, communicative, listening and negotiation skills.
    • Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritise
    • Resilience when working to fixed deadlines.
    Shift

    Monday to Thursday 8am to 5pm, Friday 8am to 2:30pm

    Pay

    £35k to £45k depending on experience
