    An exciting opportunity for a Network Engineer in the technology industry has arisen in Wigan.

    The role requires an individual with a deep understanding of network infrastructure who can maintain and improve our client's systems.

    The successful Network Engineer will become a pillar in this fast growing team and have the opportunity to develop and gain qualifications to become an expert in the network space.

    This Network Engineer will be joining a team of 4, within this team the successful candidate will report into the Senior Network Engineer.

    Design and implement functional network infrastructure with assistance from a supportive team.
    Resolve issues tiers of support have escalated by troubleshooting cloud and local infrastructure.
    Analyse network traffic and provide capacity planning solutions.
    Monitor network performance and integrity.
    Support NOC BAU, acting as an escalation point and providing training where needed.
    Liaise with almost all departments of the business and provide assistance and network solutions.
    Attend SWAT calls with senior external customers.
    Assist of major project work.
    Suggest improvements to network performance, capacity, and scalability
    Ensure data security through access controls, backups, and Firewalls.
    A Successful Network Engineer Should Have
    A CCNA/CCNP qualification or relevant experience.
    Proven experience in a network engineer role.
    A passion for network infrastructure partnered with a driven and ambitious attitude.
    Hands-on experience in networking, routing, and switching (eg Subnet masks, SD-WAN, IPSec, WAN/LAN technologies)
    Excellent knowledge of best practices around management, control, and monitoring of server infrastructure
    Experience with Firewalls, Internet VPN's remote implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution
    Ability to set up and configure server hardware
    Examples of previous network solution project work.
