- Experience across a range of therapy settings and rotations at band 6 or junior level within an NHS setting

Job summary
Are you and experienced B6 or existing B7 physiotherapist with an interest in respiratory care of both adults and paediatrics? An opportunity has arisen for a fixed term contract, ending August 2025, covering maternity leave to deliver the role of clinical lead in respiratory here at the Princess Royal Hospital, Telford.
The post holder will be responsible for delivery of a clinical physiotherapy service to the adult acute medical wards including general medical wards, orthopaedics, day surgical unit, cardiology ward, endocrine ward, frailty service and gynaecology surgery. They will also provide leadership and clinical support and to inpatient paediatrics.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will also take on joint leadership of the team with the existing B7 occupational therapist, to lead on teaching, advice, support, supervision and appraisal. They will also work closely with the inpatient therapy team manager to support and develop the strong and flourishing inpatient therapy team which consists of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, apprentice therapists and therapy assistants ranging from B2 to 4.
The successful candidate will have experience in acute medical care for both paediatrics and adults though B7 experience in these areas is not post is hours to be worked over 5 full days as part of the 7 day working post holder will be a member of the out of hours on call and weekend rotas which covers all inpatient areas at PRH including critical care, respiratory paediatrics and the emergency department.
