    Description
    This is an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 role on ward 204 within Trauma and Orthopaedics.


    We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our management team, who possess excellent communication and leadership skills, and promote excellent quality of care, whilst supporting junior staff on the ward to do the same.

    The role will entail working weekends, bank holidays and nights to provide unit bleep cover.


    The ideal applicant will have demonstrable years of experience within Trauma and Orthopaedics and ideally have experience working with acutely unwell patients and complex discharge planning.


    The majority of your role will be clinical, and you will be a clinical lead on the ward supporting and mentoring junior members of the team with your experience and knowledge.


    The job will also entail all aspects of people/staff management, for example, ensuring staff wellbeing, completing appraisals, dealing with conflict and more.

    NMC Qualification

    Evidence of teaching/training colleagues

    Evidence of leadership qualities and/or training

    Demonstrable experience within orthopaedics

    Experienced in hip fracture care
    Experienced in dementia care

    Knowledge of working with hip fracture and dementia patients
