    Description

    Supplier Quality Manager

    A growing manufacturer with a very exciting product range and large order book is looking for a Supplier Quality Manager east of Leeds. This is a great chance for a Supplier Quality Manager to develop key suppliers and coach and mentor a dedicated Supplier Quality Team.

    Responsibilities as a Supplier Quality Manager:

    • Lead and coach a Supplier Quality team
    • Develop and implement supplier quality management processes and procedures.
    • Establish supplier quality performance metrics and ensure adherence to standards.
    • Conduct supplier audits and assessments to evaluate capability and compliance.
    • Collaborate with procurement and engineering teams to qualify new suppliers.
    • Lead resolution of supplier quality issues through effective root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
    • Monitor supplier performance and drive improvement initiatives to meet quality targets.
    • Provide guidance and support to suppliers in implementing quality improvement initiatives.
    • Foster strong partnerships with suppliers to drive mutual understanding and collaboration.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
    • Communicate supplier quality performance metrics to relevant stakeholders.
    • Drive continuous improvement in supplier quality processes and systems.
    • Coach and mentor team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.
    Essential Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
    • Proven experience in supplier quality management roles.
    • Strong understanding of quality management principles and practices.
    • Experience in conducting supplier audits and assessments.
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external suppliers.
    • Strong organizational and project management skills.
    • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards.
    • Ability to drive change and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
    • Leadership and team management skills.
